More troubles for European planemaker Airbus. After the delivery delays for its A380 superjumbo, now problems have surfaced over two other projects. Airbus’ parent company, EADS, admitted the delays and profit warnings associated with the A380 could endanger plans to build the mid-sized A350, the rival to Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The planemaker also said the A400M military airlifter it plans to build for seven European NATO countries could face delays and will not make money unless costs are reduced. Airbus Chief Executive Christian Streiff said they will need 10 years to return to the same level of development and efficiency as Boeing.
