63rd International Venice Film Festival opens

Stars, glamour and most importantly movies – that is what is on the bill at the 63rd International Film Festival in Venice. Twenty one films are competing for the Goldon Lion award. The Festival is opening with the world premiere of “The Black Dahlia”. It is based on the grisly real-life murder of a young, aspiring actress in the US, a crime that remains unsolved to this day. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Josh Hartnett.
