Commuter services resumed today at train stations in Mumbai as investigators at sealed-off platforms looked for clues in the wreckage of other trains destroyed in yesterday’s bomb attacks.

Security has been stepped up to try and reassure passengers since its still not clear who was behind the attacks.

The death toll now stands close to 190 after seven bombs went off in stations and packed trains in India’s financial centre.

The Indian authorities have been quick to blame Muslim separatists in Kashmir for the bombings.

Pakistan accused of financing the militants strongly condemned the attacks.
Senior Pakistani and Indian government officials held talks today in New Delhi today.

The disputed territory of Kashmir has been split between India and Pakistan since shortly after the two countries gained independence from Britain in 1947.

But today both sides said they would not allow terrorists to undermine the peace process taking shape between the two countries.

Nevertheless out on the streets tension is on the rise.

Indian nationalists held protests across the country accusing Pakistan of having a role in the attacks and the Indian government of complacency.
