At least one Palestinian has been killed following an Israeli air strike on Palestinian militant bases in Lebanon.

It came hours after an Israeli soldier was injured by rockets fired into northern Israel. Columns of black smoke were reportedly seen rising from a military base just outside Beirut and another in the eastern Bekaa Valley. Both are said to be run by the Syrian-backed Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command. Israel says one of the bunkers was used as an arms store. Elsewhere, a Hizbollah fighter has been killed during clashes with Israeli soldiers on the Lebanon border. There are unconfirmed reports that one Israeli solider died and two others were wounded in the fighting.
