world news

Protests have continued against George W Bush’s visit to India. A day after large-scale Muslim demonstrations, members of left-wing parties and their sympathisers gathered to express their displeasure at the US president’s actions abroad, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Police estimate that around 15,000 people rallied in New Delhi. They accused Bush of dictating India’s foreign and domestic policies. They said he must be stopped before Iran becomes the target of his next military adventure.
