European Union foreign ministers have postponed the opening of membership talks with Croatia. Negotiations had been scheduled to start tomorrow. No new date has been set.

Most of the 25 opposed opening talks until Croatia hands over former General Ante Gotovina to the U.N. tribunal for former Yugoslavia.

U.N. prosecutor Carla del Ponte has reported that Zagreb has not done enough to hand over General Gotovina, who’s indicted for war crimes.
